Coastguards were called to assist police at Bournemouth beach
A PERSON was stopped from walking into the sea by police in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Officers from Dorset Police stopped the person from going fully into the water around half a mile from Bournemouth Pier.
Volunteers from Southbourne and Poole Coastguard Rescue Teams responded to a call from police to provide assistance on the promenade at around 12.40am.
The causality was assess and kept warm in the coastguard vehicle before being handed over to the ambulance service.
