A VAN parked in a Poole street burst into flames after thieves raided it last week.
Police are calling for information after the incident, which happened in De Haviland Close in Merley, near Wimborne.
The offender targeted the van sometime between 11pm on Saturday, February 1 and 11am on Sunday, February 2.
Officers investigating say the thieves used a crowbar to force their way inside the vehicle. A fire then broke out.
An officer from Poole police said: "The rear doors of this van were forced with a crowbar.
"The vehicle alarm had been disabled by the offenders, which subsequently started an electrical fire to the vehicle."
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101.
