THE world's ultimate musical duo are celebrating their reunion with a brand new album and UK tour coming to Bournemouth this spring.

Michael Ball and Alfie Boe have recently released their highly anticipated third studio album, Back Together, out now on Decca Records.

The release follows the success of the duo's previous two albums: Together, their debut, which became the UK's best-selling album of 2016; and Together Again, which went straight to number one a year later.

Successes in their own right, Michael Ball made his West End debut in 1985 playing Marius Pontmercy in the original London production of Les Misérables, and went on to star as Raoul in The Phantom of the Opera. With other stage roles in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Hairspray and Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, Ball has twice won the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actor in a Musical.

In 2015, he was awarded an OBE for services to musical theatre.

A fellow stage star, Alfie Boe is known for his performance as Jean Valjean in Les Misérables at the Queen's Theatre, London, and for playing the lead role in Finding Neverland on Broadway. The Lancashire-born singer also shared a Tony Award with the other members of the ensemble cast of Baz Luhrmann's 2002 revival of La bohème in 2003.

In 2019, Boe was awarded an OBE for services to music and charity.

August last year saw Ball and Boe star alongside one another in a staged concert production of Les Misérables, which was streamed at cinemas across the UK in December. The concert broke box office records and became the highest grossing one-night live event performance of all time.

As a duo, Ball and Boe have also sold more than one million albums in the UK, received two Classic Brit Awards and sold out two headline arena tours.

They will perform at Bournemouth's BIC Windsor Hall on Wednesday, March 4. Tickets are available from £57.25. To book, visit the venue website or contact the box office.
