A PLANNING application has been submitted to build 27 residential apartments for retirement living in Ferndown.
Halcyon Limited, who have submitted the application through agent Tony Allen, want to demolish the existing flats and dwelling to make way for the apartments at 442 Ringwood Road.
The plans are to build a single building three and four storeys in height, with a resident’s lounge, amenity space, secure cycle storage, refuse store and car parking.
The current use of the site is a building with eight flats and a two-storey house.
If approved, there will be an increase of parking spaces on the site from 14 to 32, and ten cycle spaces as opposed to none currently available.
A new footpath will also be created on the boundary of the site. People have until February 20 to make comments on the application.
