THE driver of an Audi who drew police's attention by 'staring at them for too long' while buying doughnuts has had his car seized.
Police from Dorset Police's No Excuse team were carrying out parking checks in Kinson when they spotted the red Audi in the Tesco car park.
An officer from the team said: "The driver stared at the police vehicle for far too long.
"It was then noted this vehicle didn't have insurance.
"The vehicle was stopped a short distance later.
"The driver had nipped out for doughnuts.
"He had only moved to Bournemouth from out of the county recently.
"He knew the insurance was due for renewal but ignored the fact he hadn't told them he had changed address.
"His vehicle was seized, a fixed penalty was issued – they were some expensive doughnuts."
