A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of possession of cannabis and failing to appear in court for alleged drug supply offences.
Officers from Dorset Police’s county lines team detained a suspect and carried out a drugs search under the Misuse of Drugs Act on Tuesday.
He was visiting the area and had travelled from Liverpool.
A spokesman for Dorset Police said: “County Lines isn’t always about taking over a vulnerable address. They sometimes use hotel rooms and will get a local drug user to sell drugs for them. They will often book the hotel at short notice. They will pay in cash. They generally won’t have an overnight bag and they will more than likely have two phones.”
“Please help us by reporting your concerns. Anyone with information regarding the supply of drugs is asked to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk, via email 101@dorset.pnn.police.uk or by calling 101. Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via www.crimestoppers-uk.org.”
