A STAFFY rehoming shelter will be hosting a dog parade in hope of finding forever homes for their residents.

The family-run Staffie and Stray Rescue will be hosting its Rehoming Parade on January 26 at West Parley Memorial Hall in Ferndown.

The day will see a total of 13 dogs, who desperately need home, on parade for potential loving families to come and meet.

A short description of each dog will be given and then they will be walked around the hall for all to see.

After each dog has been introduced, visitors are welcome to come and meet each dog and their handers individually.

Calli Byrne, founder of Staffy and Stray Rescue, said: "So many bull-breed come through our doors and it just gets worse every week.

"They're such loving dogs no matter what they have been through.

"We hope that this will encourage people to take them home."

The rescue was founded in April 2014 by Calli, who has a passion for saving dogs in need.

The business is family-run and is entirely volunteer run.

At the moment, the shelter has a total of 47 dogs, and takes on Staffordshire bull terriers and other large bull breed and crosses.
