IN celebration of Veganuary, Café Rouge has launched its brand new, totally vegan, afternoon tea.
The tea for two includes two hot drinks and three tiers of vegan treats, including grilled vegetable baguettes and traditional fruit scones accompanied by Bonne Maman jam and non-dairy spread.
The top tier boats the "plantisseries", featuring mini rhubarb and ginger crumble pots, carrot and pistachio cake slices and billionaire bars covered in salted toffee, chocolate ganache and sprinkles of edible gold.
Jacqueline Fletcher, head of marketing at Café Rouge, commented: "With thousands of people pledging to try veganism this month, Veganuary is on course for its biggest year yet. We're delighted to be meeting the increasing demand of our customers with a vegan afternoon tea offering that doesn't compromise on flavour. There's something for every taste and it will make the perfect treat this January."
The exclusive vegan menu, available at Café Rouge on Seamoor Road, Bournemouth, runs until Friday, January 31. The afternoon tea for two is £29.95, with the option to add a glass of vegan Baileys for an extra £2.50 per person.
