A BELT of heavy wind and rain battered Dorset on Tuesday with the ongoing impact of Storm Brendan.
Coastal areas experienced high tides and waves crashing into the shoreline in various locations.

Water has breached the coastal walls at Mudeford Quay in Christchurch, while there are areas of standing water across the county.
A Met Office yellow weather warning for strong wind remained in place until midnight.

BCP Council's seafront team have discovered Portuguese man o' war along the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Seafront.
The local authority advise anyone who spots one not to touch it as they can give a very painful sting. People should report any sightings to the tourism information centre so that they can be safely removed.
With the stormy weather predicted over the next few days more could appear on the beaches.
Network Rail has warned that there could be disruption and amendments to South Western Railway services into the evening as a result of the inclement weather.
