A MAN who repeatedly slashed the tyres of his neighbours' cars has been ordered to pay out for the damage he caused.

Darren O'Sullivan was also ordered to carry out unpaid work after admitting a series of offences against vehicles parked near his home in cul-de-sac Dillons Gardens, Lytchett Matravers.

On dates between September and December last year, O'Sullivan, 53, damaged 11 tyres on vehicles belonging to Heather and Paul Lawrence.

The defendant admitted five counts of criminal damage and two of having a kitchen knife in a public place during an appearance at Poole Magistrates' Court.

He was sentenced to a restraining order, under which he was told to keep away from his victims for 12 months.

In addition, he was ordered to comply with a rehabilitation activity requirement for ten days, carry out 120 hours of unpaid work within the next 12 months and pay £1,129 in compensation.
