A DRUNK driver caught while almost three times the limit on Boxing Day has been ordered to carry out community service.
Clare McCarty-Brooker, who is 40 and lives in Collingbourne Avenue, Bournemouth, had 104 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of her breath when she was stopped on December 26 last year.
The limit is 35 micrograms.
The defendant, who was stopped behind the wheel of a Volkswagen Beetle in Jumpers Avenue, Christchurch, appeared at Poole Magistrates’ Court last week to admit drink driving.
She was sentenced to a community order, under which she must complete 80 hours of unpaid work and pay a £90 surcharge and £85 costs.
She was also banned from driving for 25 months.
