A MAN has appeared in court charged with taking a pick-up truck during a burglary at his own address.
James Robert Wood, of Broomfield Drive in Alderholt, has been charged with burglary, taking a vehicle without consent and using a vehicle without insurance.
Prosecutors allege Wood, 29, took loose change, a vehicle key and a bottle of gin during an incident sometime between August 20 and 24 last year.
The defendant is then accused of taking the Fiat Fullback pick-up and using it without appropriate insurance between the same timeframe.
Wood has not yet entered pleas to the charges against him. The case was adjourned until later this month for a hearing.
