People are invited to take part in the development of a new piece of theatre in Bridport.

Working with the support of experienced artists they will become part of an ensemble group tasked with creating puppets, music and performance for a brand new family friendly community show set in Bridport Electric Palace.

The show, to be created and devised by its cast, will celebrate the theatres of Bridport.

Beginning with a taster a the Electric Palace on Sunday, January 19 from 2pm to 4pm, a series of workshops will be held in in which ideas will be explored. No previous experience is necessary!

The taster will be an opportunity to find out all about the project, meet the lead artists and project team and connect with other people who are also interested.

In attending the taster there is no obligation to commit to the project – just a relaxed opportunity to find out how you might like to get involved.

Join the troupe and take the journey from inception to finale at whatever level you want to. Make puppets, create music and there's the chance to perform if you want to. There are a limited number of places for children aged 11 and above.

This is a research and development project funded by Arts Council England and Dorset Community Foundation in partnership with; Electric Palace/ Lyric Theatre /Stuff &Nonsense theatre co.
