EMERGENCY services were called to a five-vehicle crash in the New Forest this afternoon.
Police, fire and ambulance attended the scene of the collision in Southampton Road, Battramsley, at the junction with Lower Sandy Down at 3.42pm.
One person sustained a serious injury and the air ambulance was called, however, it is believed the casualty was taken to hospital by land ambulance following assessment by paramedics.
Fire crews from Brockenhurst and Lymington attended and a male was extracted from a van before being handed to South Central Ambulance service crews.
The road was blocked for a period, causing delays in the area.
