A MAN has admitted an attack on three members of security staff while he stayed at a Purbeck holiday park.

Essex man Vincent Graham Nicholson, 34, was ordered by pay compensation by magistrates at Poole last week after admitting three counts of assault by beating.

The defendant, of Kilworth Avenue in Southend-on-Sea, assaulted Thomas Points, Jamie Corcoran and Lee Winstanley at the Sandford Holiday Park near Wareham on June 8.

Nicholson was sentenced to a community order, under which he must comply with a rehabilitation activity requirement for 15 days and carry out 120 hours of unpaid work.

He was also ordered to pay a total of £400 in compensation to his victims, as well as an £85 surcharge and £85 costs.

A spokesperson from Dorset Police said: "We were called at 10.37pm on June 8 to a report of a fight involving two men who were assaulting security staff at the Sandford Holiday Park.

"Officers attended and two people were arrested on suspicion of assault – a 34-year-old man from Southend-on-Sea, and a 36-year-old man from Wescliff-on-Sea, Essex.

"There were no reports of any serious injuries."

  • Ricky Nicholson, 36 and of Westcliff-on-Sea, will appear at Poole Magistrates' Court charged with assault on March 10 2020.
