A MEAT thief who targeted three stores across Hampshire, including one from which she stole more than £500 worth of goods, has been given a suspended sentence.

Lesley Ann Moir, 36, stole from Waitrose stores in Romsey, Chandler's Ford and Winchester.

The Winchester offence took place on August 15, when Moir Stole £159 worth of meat.

Then, on October 17, Moir stole £124 worth of meat from Waitrose in Romsey.

On the same day, she stole £548 of meat from Waitrose in Chandler's Ford.

Appearing at Southampton Magistrates' Court, Moir, of Canford Heath Road, Poole, pleaded guilty to three counts of theft.

She was given a 12 week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months.

As part of the order, she was banned from every Waitrose store in England and Wales.

She was also ordered to complete 10 days of rehabilitation activity requirement, pay £320 in court costs and a victim surcharge of £122.
