AN inquest has been opened and adjourned into the death of a former Royal Marine in Poole.
Married Lee Hollier, aged 49, was found in the garage of his home address, Wilderton Road West, on December 10 this year.
On Wednesday, during a short hearing at Dorset Coroner's Court, Bournemouth Town Hall, Dorset Coroner Rachael Griffin heard evidence from coroner's officer Ken McEwan.
Mr McEwan said: "Lee Hollier had been a Royal Marine until eight years ago and served in multiple conflicts overseas.
"He suffered a form of PTSD and had been struggling with his mental health."
The cause of death was recorded as hanging.
Dorset Police confirmed there had been no suspicious circumstances.
Mrs Griffin adjourned the hearing until a full inquest scheduled for June 1, next year.
