A DRIVER who passed her test a year ago has been ordered to pay more than £400 for not having insurance – and her new licence has been revoked.
Dorset Police’s No Excuse Team were out in Swanage this week.
The team had been operating in the town for just 20 minutes when they stopped a woman driving a blue Kia.
An officer said the vehicle had no insurance, as well as a bald tyre.
Its driver was given six penalty points on her licence and a fine of £300, as well as a seizure fine of £150.
Police said the DVLA has revoked her licence and she will have to complete an extended re-test.
