A 68-YEAR-OLD woman has been fined nearly £900 and banned from the roads after admitting drink driving.

Denea Wright of Gardens View in Bournemouth drove a grey Mazda in Poole on November 18 after consuming nearly twice the legal limit of alcohol.

A breath test revealed a level of 66 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath - the limit is 35.

She appeared before Poole magistrates' court on November 27 and was fined £877 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £89. She was also told to pay costs of £85 and was banned from driving for a year.
