FIVE months of roadworks are set to disrupt traders and residents in Swanage.
Multi-way traffic signals will be in place in the High Street from January 6 until May 31 and the whole length of Institute Road will be closed for the duration of the works.
Travel Dorset will be carrying out works in a bid to improve safety in Institute Road.
The work will take place between the junctions with Stafford Road and Taunton Road.
And Dorset Council has warned the traffic signals may lead to delays.
In February the town will also be affected by gas works in Queens Road.
Southern Gas Networks will carry out essential repairs to its network between February 17 and 26.
Residents in the Swanage area suffered 16 weeks of motoring misery during the summer months when the Sandbanks Ferry was out of action.
