A generous law firm is backing the Echo's Christmas Toy Appeal as it reaches its 20th year.

Nantes Solicitors, which has an office on The Esplanade, Weymouth, has donated £100 to help disadvantaged children have a happy Christmas.

Each year a growing number of families facing hardship call on the Toy Appeal.

The firm has been practising since the 1800s and has developed considerable business and local knowledge to benefit its clients. With offices in Bridport, Dorchester, Weymouth and Portland, Nantes deals with most areas of legal work, with each department led by a director.

The team at Nantes pride themselves on giving advice which is as straightforward as possible.

Lisa Cameron, of Nantes Solicitors, said: "At Nantes we believe in giving back to our local community and supporting this appeal to ensure that every child has a present to open on Christmas morning is a wonderful way to do that."

Generous businesses such as Nantes have been making £100 donations to the appeal - every penny of which will go towards bringing some festive joy to the less fortunate.

Last year’s Toy Appeal saw readers and businesses raise a grand total of £3,428.99 and we need your help again to beat this target.

All it takes is a one-off donation of £100, which will make a big difference to children facing poverty.

Dorset Echo promotions manager Debbie Hellaby said: “Without the support of our readers and businesses we would not be able to help put smiles on all those families’ faces at Christmas, so a big ‘thank you’ in advance for your help.”
