HIGH-VALUE collectable items including coins, medals and jewellery were stolen from a car in Christchurch.

Police have appealed for information after the front and rear passenger windows of a vehicle parked at an address off Walkford Road were smashed at around 2.30am on Sunday November 17.

A cash box, card machine and six table top cabinets were stolen.

The cabinets contained a large quantity of collectable items including coins and medals, as well as various items of jewellery.

Police Community Support Investigator Kate Hann, of Christchurch police, said: “As part of my investigation I am releasing images of some of the stolen items.

“I am appealing to anyone who has seen them for sale in unusual circumstances to please get in touch.

“I would also like to hear from anyone who may have information about who was responsible for the theft.”
