A MAGICAL open-top bus tour of Bournemouth’s sparkling lights is being operated by Yellow Buses in the run-up to Christmas.

Passengers will get to see glittering displays across the town in tours running from today until December 30.

Yellow Buses has again joined forces with the organisers of the Christmas Tree Wonderland.

The tour takes around 90 minutes and departs from the Travel Shop in Bournemouth Square.

Those on board will see displays in Bournemouth, Westbourne, East Cliff, Boscombe, Pokesdown and Southbourne.

It also includes a stop at Bournemouth’s Marsham Court Hotel for a festive drink and a snack before finishing in Bournemouth Square.

Passengers will then get the chance to explore the Christmas tree trail through the gardens and make a visit to the festive market.

Advance bookings are recommended for the tours, which will take place from Wednesday to Sunday each week, apart from Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

They will also be held on Monday December 23 and Monday December 30.

Departure times are 6pm and 7.30pm from Monday to Saturday and 5pm on Sundays.

Tickets cost £10 for adults, £8 for children and concessions and £35 for a group if booked in advance.

If bought on the bus the prices are £14, £10 and £40 respectively.

Operators said the service will be operated with a closed-top vehicle in poor weather.

Yellow Buses has also revealed Christmas and New Year bus timetables and the times of the last buses on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.
