TAXI fares in Bournemouth are among the most expensive in the UK according to a recent study.
Compare My Mobile looked at prices across the UK with Bournemouth featuring in the top 10 at an average of £2.50 per kilometre.
The most expensive was Portsmouth at £3.11 with London at £3.05 and Crawley at £3.
At the other end of the scale, the cheapest fares were in Royal Leamington Spa at 62p, Belfast at 88p and Barnsley at £1.12.
A spokesman for Compare My Mobile said: "Regions within the south of England take centre stage when it comes to the most expensive taxi fares with all of the top 10 located down here."
