A SECOND teenager has been arrested by police as part of a murder investigation following a fatal stabbing in Bournemouth.

Detectives arrested a 17-year-old Bournemouth boy, on Monday night, on suspicion of affray in relation to the incident in St Swithun's Road at the weekend.

In addition, detectives have also obtained an extension of 36 hours for the 18-year-old man from Bournemouth already arrested on suspicion of murder.

Both of them remained in police custody as the Echo went to press yesterday.

Dorset Police was called by the ambulance service to reports of a 20-year-old Bournemouth man having sustained stab wounds to his chest at 10.10pm on Saturday. He was taken to hospital where he died a short time later.

His next of kin have been informed he has been named locally as Kai Joshua Archer.

A full investigation has been launched, led by detectives from Dorset Police’s Major Crime Investigation Team (MCIT).
