A WOMAN found in possession of crack cocaine has been jailed for eight weeks because of her previous crimes.
Leila Angel Green, who likes in St Valerie Road, Meyrick Park, Bournemouth, was arrested on July 6. The 36-year-old had a gram of crack cocaine with her in Cecil Road, Boscombe.
Possession of a class A drug usually doesn't warrant a prison sentence.
However, Green's crime put her in breach of a suspended sentence order made in December last year for driving while disqualified, possession of a class B drug, two counts of possession of class A drugs and two counts of failing bail.
As a result, magistrates at Poole last week decided to implemented the sentence.
Green, who appeared before the court to admit possessing a class A drug last Friday, was sentenced to a total of eight weeks in prison for the offences.
She was also ordered to pay prosecution costs and a surcharge.
