A 24-YEAR-OLD man who drowned after being swept out to sea has been named as Ross Parker.
Mr Parker and his mother were both dragged into the sea by a wave while walking on the beach at Bridport on Sunday November 3, a Bournemouth inquest heard.
His mother was able to get out of the water but Mr Parker was pulled out to sea. His body was found the following day and he was pronounced dead on the beach at 6.55am..
Mr Parker was a barman who lived in High Street, Bridport.
A post mortem examination revealed he drowned, Assistant Dorset Coroner Grant Davies was told.
Coroner's officer Susan Kay told the inquest that there are no suspicious circumstances.
The inquest was adjourned to allow for further inquiries to be carried out.
