THE family of Gaia Sutherland-Pope have called for well-wishers to light a candle for her, two years after her death in Swanage.

Miss Pope-Sutherland disappeared in November 2017. Despite a huge search, she was found dead in bushes by a cliff-top near Swanage 11 days later.

Her family have now taken to Facebook to ask members of the public to remember her on the anniversary of her disappearance.

In a post, they said: "Please light a candle for Gaia.

"Take a picture for us and share it online with the hashtag #JusticeForGaia.

"These 11 days she was missing two years ago are so painful for us, not least because we still don't know what happened.

"This is to show she's not forgotten, however long it takes."

As reported, the family previously said they are "frozen" in their grief as an inquest into her death was delayed again.

They have called for answers about Dorset Police's handling of both her disappearance and a previous rape allegation she had made.
