POLICE are appealing for help to find a missing Bournemouth man who has a distinctive neck tattoo.

Officers received a report of a concern for the welfare of Jason Jarvis, 48, at 9.43am on Monday, November 11.

This came after he had made contact with somebody to say that he needed help.

Mr Jarvis is described as white, five feet nine inches tall and of slim build. It is not known what he is wearing.

Chief Inspector Claire Phillips, of Dorset Police, said: “When Jason was in contact this morning, he sounded distressed. Therefore, we need to find him urgently to ensure he is safe and well.

“We have made a number of enquiries throughout the day and believe he is in the Bournemouth area. However, we have not been able to find him.

“Officers are continuing to search in an effort to try and locate him.

“I would urge anyone with information as to Jason’s whereabouts to please contact police immediately.

“I would also like to make a direct plea to Jason if you see this appeal, please contact us or your family as we just want to ensure you are all right.”
