A MAN was battered around the head with a wine bottle on a train near Wareham.
Police have released a CCTV image of two men they want to speak to after the attack, which happened on a service between Poole and Wareham.
The incident itself happened at around 11.50pm on August 28, although the image was only released this week.
The victim, a man in his 20s, was struck after a series of escalating rows with two other male passengers.
As the train travelled towards Wareham, the rows turned violent and the victim was hit with a glass wine bottle.
He went to hospital and was given stitches to his face and neck as a result of the attack.
Both of the men involved then remained on the train and left at Wool station.
A spokesperson from British Transport Police said: "Officers believe the two men in this CCTV image may have information which could help them investigate.
"If you know who they are, contact BTP by sending a text to 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 417 of 28/08/2019."
