FANS TRAVELLED from as far away as Yorkshire to attend a book signing by former Bournemouth schoolgirl and international netball star, Geva Mentor, on Sunday.
Geva, who attended St Peter's School, was part of the gold medal winning England team at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Australia. Fans queued outside Westbourne Bookshop to meet her and received signed copies of her autobiography.
She spent time chatting to each fan as well as having her photograph taken with many of the younger admirers.
Geva now lives in Australia where she plays for Collingwood Magpies in Melbourne and is paying a short visit to the UK to visit family and to collect her CBE at Buckingham Palace today.
She was awarded a CBE for services to netball in the 2019 New Years Honours list, an honour for which she said she was "truly humbled".
