DETECTIVES investigating an assault which left a 50-year-old man with serious head injuries have made a second arrest.
The man was attacked at The Triangle in Bournemouth in the early hours of Friday August 9.
Dorset Police received a report from the ambulance service that a man had been assaulted at The Triangle and was being taken to hospital for treatment. His condition was not life-threatening.
The victim had been approached by a group of people, one of whom punched him to the head, causing him to fall to the ground face first. While he was unconscious his bank card and phone was stolen.
A 44-year-old woman, of no fixed abode, was previously arrested on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm and robbery and was released under investigation.
Following further enquiries, a 44-year-old man of no fixed abode has also been arrested on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm and robbery and has been released under investigation.
