POLICE are hunting two men who snatched a man's bag after slapping him on the head in an early hours attack.
Officers have appealed for information following the incident in Madeira Road in Bournemouth at 3.15am on Thursday October 24.
Numerous people were in the area at the time and they managed to recover the bag and return it to the victim, a man in his 20s from Hampshire.
Police Constable Ryan Greenwell, of Bournemouth police, said: "Inquiries are ongoing and I am keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident.
"I would like to thank the members of public who came to the victim’s aid and I am appealing to any of them who have not yet spoken to police to come forward as they may have information to assist my investigation."
