A CYCLIST in her 20s was hit by a car which failed to stop at Poole Quay last month.

Police are calling for information about the incident, which happened in West Street sometime between 5.30pm and 5.45pm on Monday, September 30.

The victim was cycling along the stretch when she was involved in a collision with a dark-coloured Vauxhall Insignia. The driver of the car didn't stop.

PC James Hazell, of Poole police, said: “Fortunately the cyclist involved did not sustain any serious injuries as a result of this collision.

“I appreciate the incident was some time ago but we have only recently been able to take a full account from the victim.

“We are continuing to make enquiries and I would urge anyone who witnessed this incident or may have captured it on dascham to please contact us.”
