THERE'S good news for Sandbanks Ferry users as the operating company says the vessel has passed its latest safety inspection.
Just days before the ferry is due back in service, the Sandbanks Ferry Company said it had passed a Maritime and Coastguard Agency safety inspection on Thursday.
"The final elements of the work are underway, ahead of Friday's tow inspection, to be able to schedule our overnight return to Dorset this coming Sunday, arriving early on Monday."
The ferry has been out of action since July, with its suspension causing inconvenience for residents, businesses and visitors.
The vessel, The Bramble Bush Bay, is set to undergo several days of intensive testing on chains ahead of opening for service.
