THE Wild Things trail starts at RSPB Arne nature reserve later this month.

RSPB Arne visitor experience volunteer Samuel Wrobel, said: "Autumn is one of our favourite seasons at Arne and what better way to immerse yourself in this spooky world by getting the welly boots out of the cupboard and exploring Arne’s eerie ancient woodlands.

"As the trees fall into their mysterious orange glow, and the fungi now surfaces from the corpses of deadwood, this can all only mean one thing – Halloween."

The trail runs from October 28 until November 3, with Halloween-themed activities on October 30.

Samual said: "Throughout the last week of October, pick up one of our Halloween trail leaflets and explore our wild woodlands in search of fairy-tale fungi, stick skeletons and hidden pumpkins.

"Return to the welcome hut to claim your prize afterwards."
