*SEE a funny and fast paced version of King Lear at West Stafford Village Hall tonight from 7.30pm (18).

SATURDAY

*HEAR a famous Welsh Choir sing for Weymouth RNLI tomorrow. (19)

The Welsh Abertillery Orpheus Male Voice Choir will sing in a concert at Holy Trinity Church in Weymouth from 7pm.The historic Abertillery Orpheus MVC, has been one of Wales' premier ensembles for more than 100 years. With a range of recordings released since the 1980s and a great live reputation, the choir continues an active role in its community and the wider world. It has toured America, Germany, Holland, Spain, France and all around the UK.

In 1999 the choir performed in the closing ceremony of the Rugby World Cup at the new Millennium Stadium.

Tickets will be £10 and include refreshments. They are available from the Weymouth Lifeboat shop on Nothe Parade and The Fairtrade shop near the town bridge from holytrinityweymouth.org/ or from the church on the night. All profits will be split between the RNLI and Holy Trinity Church.

*IMMERSE yourself in 70s music with two tributes to David Bowie and Slade, performed by Jean Genie and Slyde UK at Weymouth Pavilion's Ocean Room tomorrow (19) from 8pm. Expect to hear all the classic and timeless hits from these two iconic artists authentically recreated by these time-served tribute bands. There will also be Glam Rock Disco by Tony "Rude not to" Morris.

*ALSO at Weymouth Pavilion tomorrow from 7.30pm is And Finally...Phil Collins, an act credited as the UK’s Top Phil Collins Tribute, fronted by singer Chris O'Connell. This production promises a two hour high energy show packed full of Phil’s solo hits including In The Air Tonight, Another Day In Paradise and Sussudio. *ABBOTSBURY Subtropical Gardens can be viewed in a different light from today with its gardens now floodlit until Sunday, November 3. Visitors will be able to follow candlelit pathways and enjoy the gardens by twilight. Meanwhile, rainbow colours will be projected into the gardens from multi-coloured floodlights.
