SOME of the New Forest's cutest residents have been spotted having a splashing good time.
John Scamell, 67, from Southampton, captured these images of two marine mammals playing in the Beaulieu River on Wednesday (October 9)
The set of pictures were posted by John in the Camera Club of the Bournemouth Echo's sister paper, the Southern Daily Echo.
The photos show one of the seals basking in the sunshine on the jetty before the pair roll around in the shallows.
John also managed to capture film footage of the pair's adorable antics during his visit to the river near Lepe.
He had originally gone out with the intention of looking for kingfishers and peregrine falcons.
John said: "It's like they always say, it's being there at the right time. I didn't go look for seals, I'm not really a seal person."
He said he must have been watching the seals for around an hour.
It is not the first time John has been able to capture Hampshire's seals on camera.
In 2015, he shared a picture with the Daily Echo of a seal swimming up the River Itchen devouring a fish.
