POLICE are hunting a group of thieves who targeted a man in his 60s as he collected conkers in Bournemouth town centre.

Officers have released images of four people they would like to speak to following an incident at the rear of TSB bank in Old Christchurch Road at around 3.45pm on Friday September 27.

The victim was distracted by one of the group and later realised the contents of his shopping trolley had been stolen. The stolen items include a quantity of cash, a black Citizen leather watch strap, a bank card, a bus pass, a notebook and pens.

The men ran off into the Richmond Gardens multi-storey car park.

Police Constable Holly Palmer, of Bournemouth police, said: "As part of my enquiries I have obtained CCTV images of four men I would like to speak to as they may have information to assist my investigation.

"I would urge anyone who recognises them to please get in touch."
