A MAN was arrested after police visited a Springbourne bridge when residents complained of drug dealing.
Officers from the Bournemouth East Neighbourhood Policing Team went to the green bridge between St Clement's Road and South Road this week.
An officer from the team said residents have reported drug dealing and anti-social behaviour. As a result, there have been more patrols in the area.
"One man is assisting us with out enquiries, and another was searched under the Misuse of Drugs Act," the officer said.
"Please do keep reporting concerns."
Residents say they face ongoing issues with drug dealers and addicts in the area. One said he has seen drug dealers near schools in Knole Road and St Clement's Road.
Another said that if the arrested man was being held on suspicion of drug dealing, it would be little use as "there'll be another dealer there already by now".
