A MAN was ordered to leave the Square in Bournemouth yesterday after complaints from the public.

Officers from the Bournemouth South Neighbourhood Policing Team were called to an area outside Debenhams after reports of anti-social behaviour.

An officer from the team said: "We responded to complaints of a male causing anti-social behaviour in the Square.

"Due to the alcohol-fuelled nuisance, and the male refusing to stop behaving aggressively, he was given a section 35 to leave the Square."

Section 35 orders give police the power to move on individuals in order to remove or reduce the likelihood of members of the public becoming 'harassed, alarmed or distressed'.
