POLICE have released CCTV in a bid to find a group responsible for knocking a 50-year-old Bournemouth man unconscious.
The victim was badly hurt in the early hours of Friday, August 9. Police investigating the incident say they received a call from the ambulance service at 3.25am to say a man had been assaulted in The Triangle.
He had been approached by a group of people, one of whom punched him in the head. He fell to the ground face first and was knocked out.
While he was unconscious, the group stole his bank card and mobile phone.
The victim was rushed to hospital with serious, but not life-threatening, head injuries.
Detective Constable Paul Craig, of Bournemouth CID, said images have been released of people he wants to track down in connection with the incident.
“While I appreciate the images are not of the best quality, I am appealing to members of the public for anyone who recognises them to please contact us," he said.
