RUNNERS were cheered along during the Supersonic 10k this afternoon at Bournemouth Marathon Festival.
Andrew Chambers of Bristol & West AC was the winner of the Supersonic 10K and crossed the line in a time of 31:29.
Bethany Francis of Avon Valley Runners was the first female to cross the line in a time of 38:38.
Saturday night will see runners of all ages light up the night for the Supernova 5k which starts at 7pm.
Starting on Bournemouth Prom and finishing near the Bournemouth Marathon Festival Hub in the Lower Gardens, the route gives runners the chance to run along Bournemouth Pier, which is lit up at dusk to create a beautiful spectacle for participants and spectators alike.
Bournemouth Marathon Festival continues on Sunday morning with the half marathon and marathon events.
