A POOLE man has been given five points after he was caught driving at 100 miles per hour on a major motorway.

Mahir Talukder appeared at Poole Magistrates' Court on Tuesday to admit a single count of speeding.

The court heard the offence happened on March 15 this year when Talukder, of Christopher Crescent in Poole, was caught driving at speed on the M25 in Epping, Essex.

Talukder, 21, was behind the wheel of a BMW when he committed the offence.

He was fined £120 and ordered to pay a £30 surcharge and £300 costs.

His licence will also be endorsed with five points.
