A MAN was arrested on suspicion of burgling a New Forest convenience store after a car crash in the early hours of Monday morning.
Police were called to reports of a burglary at the Tesco Express in Brookley Road, Brockenhurst just before 5am.
A spokesperson from Hampshire police said: "Entry to the shop had been forced via the front door.
"Shortly afterwards, officers arrested a 28-year-old man following a single vehicle collision in Sandy Lane, Lyndhurst.
"The man, from Southampton, was arrested on suspicion of burglary.
"He is currently in police custody."
