MORE than 30 jobs are set to be created after a Hampshire tech company won new contracts.

The financial tech business NetPay plans to increase headcount at its Hedge End headquarters from 70 to more than 100 by the end of this year.

Carl Churchill, NetPay’s managing director, said: “NetPay has been experiencing exponential growth since it was set-up in 2012, and even with the uncertainty around Brexit, where nine in 10 businesses have said it’s affecting their ability to expand, recruit and train, we are a company that’s bucking the trend.

“The payments sector is continuing to experience significant growth around the world as well as the broader opportunity in ‘fintech’. We are at the very forefront of that growth, enabling consumers to pay and businesses to get paid. It’s essential that we expand our team to support new contracts as well as an incredible pipeline of opportunity and some exciting new product and service launches planned for 2020.”

NetPay Solutions Group counts the likes of NatWest, Fiserv and Lloyds Banking Group among its customers.

It consists of a payment services business called NetPay Merchant Services and a payments infrastructure business called Technologi Worldwide, which enables more than 12,000 businesses a month in 16 countries to accept payments from customers.

The new jobs will include software developers, project managers, IT systems engineers, account managers and business development roles.

Director Nicole Churchill said: “As perhaps one of the few profitable fintech businesses in the UK today, we offer job security and a culture that is focused in supporting our team, building their careers and allowing them to work on exciting and innovative projects.

“We are proud that, as an A-rated Home Office sponsor, our team come from 15 different countries which helps us build a diverse culture and allows us to remain innovative in our approach with a series of different global perspectives.

“Every member of our team is on a permanent contract with no employees on zero hours. We work hard on rewards and benefits with things like our business wide Extra Mile initiative which includes sending those who have delivered over and above to their colleagues and our customers on an all-expenses paid holiday each year, free Friday Brunch, paid team events and a whole lot more.”
