A MAN who assaulted two police officers has been given a suspended prison sentence.
James Lee Pammant, 33, assaulted the two officers in Southampton on July 16.
Appearing at Southampton Magistrates' Court, he pleaded guilty to two counts of assault.
He was given a four month prison sentence, which magistrates suspended for 18 months.
As part of the suspended sentence order, Pammant must complete a nine month drug dependency rehabilitation course.
Pammant, of Leigh Road, Chandler's Ford, was also ordered to pay £100 in compensation and £85 court costs.
