FIREFIGHTERS were called to a fire on Holton Heath on Friday lunchtime.
They spent just under two hours bringing the blaze under control.
A Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "We were called to Station Road, Holton Heath at 12.56pm for a heath fire affecting an area of approximately 20 metres by 10 metres.
"Two fire engines and a Land Rover pump from Poole were mobilised
"One fire engine is still there for damping down, the stop came at 2.42pm."
Elsewhere in the county firefighters were called to deal with a fire at Moreton Heath, near Dorchester.
