PROTESTERS will march outside a party conference demanding action is taken on climate change.

Members of environmental campaign group Extinction Rebellion will meet at the Peace Statute at Hove Lawns on Sunday at 10am before marching to the Labour Party conference at the Brighton Centre.

There they will deliver demand for "urgent action" on climate change before moving to Old Steine, where they will set up a pop-up stall about climate change.

Organiser Claudia Fisher said: "We want the Labour Party to make the climate crisis the number one concern at this conference.

"Our current government has set us on course for decarbonisation for 2050, but that is suicidal.

"All the science is telling us that we must become carbon neutral as soon as we can."
