THERE has been a flurry of announcements this week from some big names in the music business who will be calling into Bournemouth in 2020.

British R&B star Craig David has confirmed dates for his 2020 anniversary Hold That Thought UK arena tour which will call in at the BIC on Tuesday, April 14. His last arena tour sold out in a matter of seconds and received five star reviews and critical acclaim across the board.

Craig said: “I can’t wait to bring my live band and TS5 shows together for this special 2020 arena tour and given that it’s 20 years since the release of Born to Do It, there will be some special surprises in there. It’s time to party.”

And Simply Red led by frontman Mick Hucknall, are back with new music and news of a live tour set for October 2020. Tickets for the shows are available at 10am on Friday, September 20.

The band announced news of their latest album Blue Eyed Soul earlier this year. The new record will be the group’s first since 2015’s Big Love.

The 11-date tour includes a date at the BIC on Friday, October 23.

And Status Quo led by Francis Rossi will tour in support of their new record Backbone which will be rocking the BIC on Sunday, December 6 next year as part of a seven-date UK tour for autumn 2020.
